Grooby Design Competition 2023

Many of your have seen and loved the designs on our shirts over the last few years. These were all done by our in-house designer Saki Cruise and have been worn by 100’s of GroobyGirls over years on social media and in our popular ‘show us’ competitions. Each time we do a new run, we send them out to all the recent models, and past models who show off the shirts on social media – and once they’re gone, they’re gone! Each shirt is a limited edition of a small run.

Saki is taking 2023 off from shirt designs to focus on the production side of our business – where she works with Buddy on his shoots, and we’re looking to do more involved and themed productions (don’t worry – we’re still counting on her for a cool Xmas card!).

So for 2023, we’re going to be running a design competition for two new designs, for a shirt, tank top or sweater – designed by girls, for girls. The main stipulation is that it has to include Grooby or Grooby Girls but otherwise we’re going to let your creative juices run free, and ask you to design what you believe is a shirt other girls would want to wear.

Entry Information

• must be your original design and include no copyright/trademarked material*
• must be able to be delivered in a format we can use for printing on shirts.
• All submissions to be delivered by Jan 21 2023.

The two winning designs will be paid $1000 per design if we use it on the shirts, the designer will be able to sign the graphic (your name on every shirt) and we will promote/publish the winners.

If your design isn’t used for one of these shirts, but we are interested in using it elsewhere, we will offer to pay you for it.

No designs will be shown outside the competition – and used only for the purpose of the competition.

To kick things off, for Saki’s final tshirt design for a while, we asked her to design something unique and represents what she likes, or feels is a good strong visual image for our latest hoodie – and she came up with this awesome handdrawn design … and maybe a glimpse into her own likes!
