GroobyGirls.com Wins XBIZ ‘Trans Site of the Year’ Award
LOS ANGELES, CA – Grooby, the leader in trans erotica, scooped up the coveted XBIZ ‘Trans Site of the Year’ Award this past weekend at the star-studded event hosted in Los Angeles, CA.
“Thank you so much to XBIZ and our supporters for this win,” says Grooby’s Marketing and Editorial Director, Kristel Penn. “This win has an extra significance for our company because of the recent passing of our very-loved colleague, and my friend, Danny (Sparky Snakeden). He was one of the first people in our company to use the term ‘Grooby Girl’ in an official capacity, long before we rebranded our flagship site to that name. Thank you to XBIZ for this award and particularly for including Danny in the event’s memoriam video. He is greatly missed by our company and community, so this win holds a lot of meaning for us.”
“Grooby Girls was my baby,” says Grooby CEO, Steven Grooby. “I started it in 1996 (watch for Grooby’s 25th Anniversary next year!) as a pet project and it grew, and it grew, and it grew. It’s our flagship brand and I still love seeing the models that we get for it and we have plans to improve it further. Thank you so much to Xbiz for honoring Grooby Girls – and for being such an important beacon to the adult community.”
Grooby rebranded their popular site, ShemaleYum.com, to GroobyGirls.com back in 2017. In the company’s official announcement, Grooby commented on the process. “Change is good, and we’ve changed our company and sites constantly over the past 20 years,” he stated. “Simply renaming a brand that has as much worth as ‘ShemaleYum’ wasn’t something that could be done overnight and without having a proper plan in place, and that plan was to build ‘Grooby’ and ‘GroobyGirls’ brands, which we’ve spent a number of years doing. We’re now in the position where they can replace the original website name.”
GroobyGirls.com was launched in 1996 and continues to be the benchmark of stardom for trans erotica. The site features a mix of up and coming starlets and the biggest names in trans porn, with so many of the industry’s most popular stars debuting on Grooby’s popular site.
